Vanderbilt added three transfer tight ends, headlined by ECU's Jayvontay Conner, a top-10 portal tight end who posted 23 catches for 333 yards in 2025. Morehouse's Maurice Veney and returning Commodore Walter Taylor III round out the group behind Cole Spence.
Vanderbilt must replace Eli Stowers, the John Mackey Award winner and second-round NFL draft pick who caught 62 passes for 769 yards in 2025. Returning 6-foot-7 tight end Cole Spence, who averaged 15.5 yards per catch, steps into the top role.
