Play Style

He is a physical, length-based blocker who played on the blind side in high school but projects to guard, where his strength and reach work best. His value is at the point of attack: he can use his reach to get hands on first in drive and down blocks and in gap and duo run schemes. In pass protection, left-tackle reps give him more comfort in space and mirroring than a typical high school guard. Strengths

• Length for the interior: an 80-inch wingspan on a guard-sized frame lets him strike first and control defensive tackles at the point of attack. Most interior linemen don't have that kind of reach.

Areas to Improve

• Body composition and movement at his new weight: going from about 305 to about 335 raises questions about foot speed on pulls, reaching second-level linebackers and lateral recovery against twists and stunts. He needs to show the added weight doesn't cost him the movement skills he had at tackle.
• Moving from tackle to guard: playing inside means working in tighter spaces, reacting faster to interior games, trading off double-teams and handling A-gap pressure. He also needs to keep his pad level down, since tall interior linemen who play high lose leverage to shorter, stronger defensive tackles.

College Projection

The expected path is guard at USC. As an early enrollee he will likely spend 2026 as a developmental backup or redshirt (up to four games), then compete for a starting guard spot in 2027 as a redshirt freshman or sophomore. If his weight settles around 315-325 and his feet stay quick, he could become a multi-year starter from 2027 to 2029. His tackle experience also makes him a valuable swing backup along the line.

NFL Outlook

He has a realistic Day 3 draft ceiling, with Day 2 possible if he develops. NFL teams like long-armed interior linemen with college tackle experience. If he becomes a multi-year Big Ten starter and shows he can handle power and quickness inside, he fits the profile of a mid-round guard with position flexibility. Best Fit

A pro-style or gap/duo-heavy run offense with a strong strength program that can develop a long, heavy guard and use his size in downhill blocking. USC under Lincoln Riley (Big Ten) is a strong fit. He will face Big Ten interior defensive lines every week, and the staff can move him between guard and tackle as needs change.
