Play Style

A get-off-and-bend edge rusher who plays mostly from a two-point or wide stance, attacking the tackle's outside shoulder with first-step quickness, then using length and hip flexibility to dip and flatten. His TFL totals (10-16 each season) show he isn't just a pass-down specialist. He shoots gaps and disrupts run plays in the backfield, and he plays with good pursuit effort away from the ball (47-55 tackles in two of three seasons for an edge player). His best reps come as a pure speed-to-bend rusher with a stable of basic hand moves; his power game is still developing.

• Pressure production that grew each year: 16 QB hurries as a junior jumped to 39 as a senior (plus 8 sacks and 14 TFL), which points to a consistent ability to win quickly rather than a few big-play sacks
• Backfield disruption over three varsity seasons: 16 TFL as a sophomore, 10 as a junior, 14 as a senior (40 total), plus a forced fumble and fumble recovery in 2024. He gets upfield against both the run and the pass
• Length and flexibility to bend at the top of the rush. He can flatten to the quarterback from a wide alignment, the trait that earned five-star grades across services
• Physical projection: he's already gone from about 225 to 242 without reported loss of movement, and the frame suggests he can carry more mass to play every down

Areas to Improve

• Strength at the point of attack: at his high-school weight he could be moved by Power Four offensive tackles in the run game. He needs to keep adding functional mass and improve anchor and extension against down blocks and double-teams
• Counter-move package and hand usage: much of his high-school production came from winning with speed and length against overmatched blockers. Against college tackles who can match his get-off, he needs a developed inside counter and a reliable long-arm or power rush to keep them honest
• Converting pressure into finishes: 39 hurries turning into 8 sacks as a senior suggests work to do on closing speed and tackling technique at the quarterback

College Projection

As a 2026 true freshman at Notre Dame he has played in 3 games (4 tackles, 1 pass breakup, no sacks yet as of late September), which fits a situational-rusher and special-teams role in year one. Expect a rotational third-down role to grow through 2026, a push for a starting job in 2027 once he's at about 250, and a full-time starter and primary pass-rush threat by his third season, with All-American potential if the counter moves develop.

NFL Outlook

Early-round (Day 1-2) potential. The length, bend and athletic profile are what NFL teams draft edge rushers on, and five-star edges with his movement skills routinely become high draft picks if they add play strength. His draft ceiling depends on building to 250-plus while keeping his burst and turning college pressures into sacks. With that growth he could be eligible and a strong first-round candidate after his third college season (2028 draft).

Best Fit

An aggressive, attacking front that lets him rush from a wide, two-point 'Vyper'/rush-end alignment and moves him around on passing downs, much like Notre Dame's current approach under Marcus Freeman. He'd be less effective early in a two-gap, read-and-react 4-3 that asks its ends to take on blocks. A program with a strong strength-and-conditioning track record is essential to reach his ceiling.
