Wilson Zierer is a 6-foot-6 developmental left tackle who signed with Auburn out of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, a Georgia boarding school competing in North Carolina's NCISAA circuit. Born in Munich, Germany and the younger brother of former Auburn starting LT Kilian Zierer (Texans/Falcons), he was a genuine national recruit — 20-plus offers with Georgia, Michigan, Penn State and USC involved, and Alabama and Florida State as the finalists he turned down in July 2025. The evaluation split is the story: On3 and Rivals graded him a four-star (No. 50 OT for Rivals), while 247Sports' own analysts kept him at three stars, No. 30 OT, leaving a composite that sits right on the four-star line at roughly 0.89.
Physical Profile
The frame is the separator. At 6-6 he carried 280-290 pounds through the recruiting cycle and reported to Auburn at 315, meaning he added roughly 25-30 pounds in under a year without visible loss of movement — the strongest available indicator that the frame accepts mass rather than just stores it. Height and length project him to the blind side rather than inside, and he is described consistently as moving well for his size, which at his height means he is not a stiff, top-heavy tackle who plays high by default. What is not yet documented is his anchor at that new playing weight, or verified testing numbers — no public camp shuttle, vertical or arm-length figures surfaced, so his lateral quickness and length are film-graded, not combine-confirmed. Two points of realistic caution: the weight jump is recent enough that his pad level and change-of-direction at 315 are unproven against SEC defenders, and long-levered tackles of this build typically need two offseasons of hip and posterior-chain work before they can sit down in a true pass set.

Brown was a similarly-sized raw athlete (6'5" 318 lbs) who Auburn developed from a high-upside recruit into a dominant defensive lineman and first-round NFL pick.
