Play Style

Driver is a big-bodied tight end who is used as a downfield receiver, not just a short-yardage target. Evaluators point to his soft hands, route-running polish for his age, and ability to stretch the seam while still contributing in the run game. He attacks the ball at its highest point with a basketball player's timing and plays with an edge after the catch and as a blocker. His defensive production suggests good instincts and ball tracking that carry over to contested catches.

Strengths

• Vertical receiving threat: 49 catches, 875 yards and 11 TDs as a junior (17.9 per catch). He stretches the seam and wins downfield rather than living on short throws near the line.
• Catch radius and hands: 10-inch hands and 32.75-inch arms on a 6-6 frame, plus basketball skill at high-pointing the ball. That makes him a mismatch in the red zone and on contested throws against safeties and nickel defenders.
• Physical play and competitiveness: he plays through the whistle as a blocker (a viral body-slam clip in 2026). His two-way production (5 INTs and 10 TFLs as a junior) shows ball skills and the toughness to play in traffic.
• Proven winner at the top level of Kentucky high school football: a key piece of the Boyle County 4A state championship team and the KFCA 4A Player of the Year.

Areas to Improve

• In-line blocking technique against college defensive ends. His physical play is obvious, but hand placement, leverage and footwork on down blocks and reach blocks will decide how early he can stay on the field in 12 personnel. He also needs to add weight to 250-plus.
• Discipline: he was ejected from a 2026 high school game. His physical style is an asset, but he has to keep it inside the rules to avoid penalties at the college level.
• Route detail against better coverage. Kentucky 4A competition rarely challenges his size and speed, so running routes against physical college linebackers and safeties will be the next big step.

College Projection

He projects as Oklahoma's Y tight end, able to line up in-line, as a wing or in the slot. His receiving ability and frame give him a real chance to play as a true freshman in 2027, likely first in 12-personnel packages and in the red zone. He should become a starter by his second year once his blocking and weight catch up. By his third year he could be a top option in the passing game and an All-SEC candidate.

NFL Outlook

He has NFL tight end tools: 6-6 height, long arms, big hands, vertical production and the athleticism of a two-sport player. If he gets to 250-plus pounds and becomes at least an average in-line blocker, he projects as a Day 2 pick with a first-round ceiling as a three-down tight end. If his blocking stalls, he is still a mid-round move tight end or big-slot receiver.

Best Fit

An offense that uses its tight end heavily in multiple roles and moves him around the formation, with 11 and 12 personnel and plenty of seam and play-action concepts. Oklahoma's SEC offense fits. He needs a staff that develops tight end blocking technique so he becomes a complete player and not just a big receiver.
